Open the app and know where the money is.

Most accounting software opens on a dashboard of charts you have to interpret. Nummio opens on one sentence about your cash, a curve of where it goes over the next 30 days with the lowest point named, and the few things that actually need you today — each with a guess at how long it takes and a button that does it right there.

Today: cash on hand across accounts, the 30-day curve with the lowest point called out, and the queue of things that need you

Today, from a seeded business. Every figure on this screen is computed, never estimated by a model.

The left side: your cash

On hand, across every account.
One number, then each account underneath with a one-line note — the next payment due from it, or a warning when a payment is bigger than what's there.
Where it goes over 30 days.
The curve is built from your scheduled payments — rent, payroll, loans — and the invoices you're waiting on. The lowest point is named with the date and what lands that day.
Roughly how long it lasts.
A plain sentence: with nothing else coming in, this is how long the balance covers what's scheduled.
From the bank, or from the books.
With a live bank feed the balance comes from the bank; without one it comes from your reconciled books, and the screen says which.

The right side: what needs you

Worst first, with a time estimate.
An overdue invoice, a payment that a balance can't cover, purchases waiting for a category, a month left open. Each says roughly how long it takes.
Done in place.
Nudge the customer, record a transfer to cover the payment, sort the queue, finish the close — the button is on the card.
Set aside, or snooze a week.
Looked, it's fine? It comes back only if the evidence changes. Snooze parks it for seven days.
What Nummio handled without you.
Below the queue: what was categorized, filed, and reconciled this week with no one touching it.

Setting it up

Today needs two things to be useful: your scheduled payments (Settings → Scheduled payments) so the curve knows what's leaving, and either a bank feed or reconciled books so the balance is real. The iPhone app carries the same queue for the parts you do standing up — a receipt, a customer nudge, a payment.

Open it tomorrow morning and know.
