The plain-English version: your books are yours, and we keep them running.

These are the terms for using Nummio. We've tried to write them the way we write everything else in the product: say what happens, skip the jargon where plain English works.

The service

Nummio is bookkeeping software: expense capture and categorization, invoicing, reimbursements, reports, and tax export packages, all built on a double-entry ledger. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter or approve; Nummio is the system you use to keep your books, not a bookkeeper or an accounting firm.

Accounts and tenants

An account belongs to one business (a tenant), and every person you invite gets a role: Owner, Bookkeeper, Employee, or External Accountant, each with different access to books and billing. Only an Owner can change your plan or cancel billing. You're responsible for who you invite and what role you give them.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

New accounts start on a 14-day trial with the full Micro feature set and no card required. Current monthly prices for each plan:

PlanMonthly price
Solo$15.00 / month
Micro$50.00 / month
Small$150.00 / month

AI review beyond each plan's included monthly amount is billed as overage at the rate shown on our pricing page. Upgrading takes effect immediately with a prorated charge; downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Canceling stops renewal at the end of your current billing period — you keep access through the time you've already paid for.

If a payment fails

If a payment fails, you get a 14-day grace period during which Nummio keeps working normally. If the payment still hasn't gone through by the end of that period, your account switches to read-only: you can view and export your books, but nothing new posts until payment succeeds. Your books are never held hostage — you can always get your data out. As soon as payment succeeds, full access comes back right away.

Your books, your data

The books you keep in Nummio belong to you, not to us. You can export your reports as CSV or PDF and your tax export packages at any time while your account is active. Posted transactions are never edited or deleted, even by us — corrections are made with reversing entries, so your history always stays intact.

Acceptable use

Use Nummio for your own business's bookkeeping, lawfully, and don't try to break it: no reverse engineering, no attempting to access another tenant's data, no interfering with the service for other customers, and no sharing your login outside the roles your account allows.

Not accounting or tax advice

Nummio is software, not a CPA. AI-proposed categorizations, reports, and tax export packages are tools to hand off to your accountant or tax preparer, not a substitute for one, and nothing in the product is legal, accounting, or tax advice. Tax exports are built for CPA handoff, not for e-filing.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nummio is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Nummio isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date below. We'll let account owners know before a change that meaningfully affects your rights or how billing works.
