Reports
What you made, what you're worth, where it went, and who still owes you.
What's here
- Did we make money? — Profit & Loss for a month, against the month before it.
- What's it worth? — a Balance Sheet as of a date: what you have, what you owe, what's yours.
- Where did it go? — spending by category and by vendor, revenue by customer.
- Who owes me? — open invoices by customer, bucketed by how late each one is.
- What do I owe? — the same view for bills you haven't paid.
- Trial balance and General ledger — the two your accountant will ask for by name.
Every report is scoped to one business and one period. If you run more than one business, the switcher at the top of the page picks which one you're looking at; combined and consolidated statements live under their own report.
Cash or accrual
Reports follow the accounting basis you chose for the business during setup. Nothing here silently mixes the two — a cash-basis business counts a sale when the money arrives, an accrual-basis one counts it when the invoice goes out.
Sharing a report
Profit & Loss and the Balance Sheet export as CSV or PDF from the report itself. A PDF is the one to send an accountant or a lender; a CSV is the one to keep working in.
Getting reports without asking
Settings → Scheduled reports emails a statement on a schedule you set, to whoever needs it, so a monthly P&L arrives without anyone remembering to pull it.
From your phone
The iOS app carries Profit & Loss, the Balance Sheet, and Who owes you under Reports in the Money tab, for anyone who can view reports. Pick a month, a quarter, or year to date; the app opens on the last month that's finished. Share sends the same PDF the web produces. On Who owes you, an Owner or Bookkeeper can send a reminder on a single invoice, or on every invoice still waiting on its first payment for one customer at once. Long lists show the largest balances first and tell you when there's more to see on the web.
